The ' saga with receiver Brandon Aiyuk appears to be only heading to one resolution this offseason, and that's a separation. With Aiyuk not playing at all in 2025 after the 49ers reportedly had i sues with how he conducted his rehab, it now appears Brandon has played his last snap for the franchise. Given the 49ers are in the Super Bowl window, it makes sense for the YaYa Diaby Jersey team, if they are true to their word to move on, then this is the offseason to do it. And for head coach Kyle Shanahan, it appears that is what the franchise is doing. "I don't have a date for it, but I know eventually it'll resolve itself," Shanahan said via . "Hopefully, we could get something for [him]. And I know we're in no rush to do that. You've got to do what's right for the Niners, and you're not trying to hook up any other team as fast as you po sibly can. Hopefully, we can get something for that, and it'll take care of itself." But now, the franchise has added receiver Mike Evans in free agency to give Brock Purdy another weapon in the pa sing game. So, while this Aiyuk saga drags on, the 49ers, it appears, are in a good spot at receiver. Yes, this has gotten a little me sy, but San Francisco has drawn a line in the sand when it comes to Aiyuk, and that likely means he will be dealt this offseason.
