Offensive line is one area that the need to addre s in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Lane Johnson is likely headed for retirement in the near future, and the Eagles will need to identify a replacement for the franchise legend. Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report advised the Eagles against picking Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu due to a lack of perceived physicality. "Finding a succe sor for Lane Johnson has to be on the Eagles to-do list over the next two years. The 35-year-old is coming back for his 14th season, but the Eagles have to prepare for life without him,"Ballentine wrote. "Caleb Lomu is generally considered a first-round prospect, but he doesn't nece sarily make sense for the Eagles. ...If the Eagles are planning on taking Johnson's succe sor then a more physical presence like Kadyn Proctor, Monroe Freeling or Blake Miller would make more sense." In addition to depth on the offensive line, the Eagles also need to addre s other positions in the draft including safety and potentially wide receiver, so it will be interesting to see what the Birds decide to do with their first pick. If Lomu is a guy that they like, they're not going to be swayed by media suggestions, but it remains to be seen if he is.
