Prior to the Gary trade, it was reported by that the Cowboys and were most interested in Hendrickson. Whether or not this trade will cancel Dallas out of the market for Hendrickson remains to be seen, but right now things aren't looking good. According to , the Cowboys have checked in on the now-former star, but his price would have to come down for Dallas to pull off that signing. "The Cowboys checked in on Trey Hendrickson -- but it does not appear they are heavy in that market unle s the price comes down," Meirov reported. Hendrickson is a deal that pays him $25 million annually, but a strong market could bring that price up and we would expect Hendrickson's market to be robust considering the value placed on good edge rushers. With Dallas taking on Gary's contract, which has a base salary of $18 million this year, it's fair to believe Hendrickson might not be in the cards for the Cowboys at this point.
